Yakima has me confused-but it comes from a bad design of this product Yakima has me confused-but it comes from a bad design of this product. The center where the foam should stretch around the crossbar is closed. It looks like you undo the Velcro and just put the pad on-but it would defeat the purpose of protecting anything because the foam would be on the bottom or eventually rotate to the bottom. I think I will cut openings and just use it with the foam encircling the crossbar and the cover over the foam. Of course mine didn’t come with instructions either. The…

Doesn’t stay ontop of bar. I love the padding and the thickness of theMaterial but te design isn’t reasonable. There is nothing to keep the pads from turning so they dont protect this position for supporting re board. I will be returning this product .
