The Cascade is MTI’s top of-the-line PFD for SUP and kayak paddlers pushing the extreme. The Cascade offers a low profile over-the-head side entry with a neoprene padded side-opening waist belt, a side-opening Z-Strap cinch down, and adjustable padded shoulder straps for a comfortable and secure fit. MTI’s Mesh Air Flow System interior with memory foam cushions allows great ventilation. A large front cargo pocket with internal tie-down points also includes a key clip. Behind the front pockets is a fleece-lined hand-warmer tunnel for keeping your fingers and hands warm while not paddling. A helmet/hat hanger strap, a shell-integrated attachment loop on the front for securing a watch or river knife, beefy honey-comb reflective panels front and back, and four waist-belt mounted d-rings for adding an optional crotch strap complete the details of this top-of-the-line PFD. Good paddling vest, but for the price it should have been great It’s comfortable for the most part and has excellent range of motion in the arms. I’m a 40″ and it just barely fit me. I can’t complain about this since the description does say up to 40″, but I honestly expected there to be just a little slack left in the straps. The point is, if you are between sizes go up. The front pocket is a nice feature. The hand warmer sounded good, but now that I have it I’m not sure I’ll use it.The downside for me is the way it fits and looks. The picture…
